DentULearn Privacy Policy and Agreement

1. Scope of This Policy:

This Privacy Policy and Agreement (“Policy”) inform users of the DentULearn website at DentULearn.com (the “Site”) and users of any of our products or services available through our web platform (“Platform”) (collectively referred to as the “Service”) about how we collect, use, and share your information in connection with the Service. “DentULearn” or the terms “we,” “us,” “our,” or similar terms refer to DentULearn. “You” or “your” or similar terms refer to you as a user of our Service. This Policy applies only to information we collect through the Service. It does not apply to information collected by us offline or through any other means, including on any other website or application operated by us or any third party.

2. Agreement to Terms:

By using our Service, you consent to this Privacy Policy and Agreement, and to our collection, use, and sharing of your information, and other activities described below. Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and Agreement, you should immediately discontinue the use of the Service without providing us with any personal information.

DentULearn collects the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: We may collect first and last names, account First name and last name *s, and passwords.
  • Professional Information: We may collect professional contact details, including your title or position and professional contact information (e.g., address, email address, and phone number).
  • Payment Information: If you make a payment using a credit card, we may collect your name, credit card number, expiration date, and CVV code, which is passed through to a payment processor.
  • Device Information: We collect device information when you visit our Site, including your computer or mobile device type, browser type, online identifiers, IP address, and geolocation information.
  • Interaction with our Service: We may collect information concerning your interaction with our Service, including when you access the Service, your browsing activity, links clicked, non-sensitive text entered, and mouse movements. 4. Health Information:

DentULearn provides the Service to dental offices, dental imaging centers, and other healthcare entities (“Customers”). Please do not provide us with any healthcare information via the Site. If you are our Customer, you are only to provide personal information of your patients when requesting services in our secure Platform. The Site will never ask you to provide personal health information about you or your patients. You are directly responsible for any use or disclosure of healthcare information.

5. Automatic Data Collection Technologies:

We store certain information collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies on our Service. Cookies are small strings of information that a site transfers to your browser for identification purposes. Cookies help us understand your preferences, improve and personalize your Service experience, and may include IP addresses, internet tags, navigational data, and more.

The Service is not directed at users under the age of 16, and DentULearn does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If you are aware of, or suspect that, someone under the age of 16 is using the Service without permission, please notify us immediately.

7. Fees and Payment:

Payment for the CE course must be made in full prior to the event date. Failure to make payment will result in the Participant’s exclusion from the event. If you need to cancel your registration for a course, please inform us as soon as you realize you can’t attend. Refunds are possible for cancellations made before the program starts, but there’s a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations within two weeks of the course aren’t refundable, but you can place the tuition (minus fees) in a holding account for future use. “No Shows” are not eligible for refunds. Initiate the refund process by sending written notification via email (support@dentulearn.com) Please put order number and full name in the subject of the email, and refunds may take four to six weeks.

8. Accuracy of Information:

Any information, including but not limited to presentation content, materials, and resources, provided by presenters during the CE course is the sole responsibility of the presenters. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information presented. Participants are encouraged to independently verify any information provided during the course.

9. Cancellation and Credit:

In the event that the CE presentation is canceled by the Company or Presenter, the paid amount will be saved as credit for the Participant. This credit can be utilized for future CE courses organized by the Company. The credit is not refundable under any circumstances and can only be redeemed for future Company-hosted CE events.

10. Accuracy of Personal Information:

Participants are solely responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date personal information to the Company. The Company shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from the provision of inaccurate or incomplete personal information. Participants agree to promptly update their personal information in the event of any changes.

11. Indemnification:

Participant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its officers, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to the Participant’s participation in the CE course, including but not limited to claims arising from the accuracy of information presented, the use of personal information, and any breach of this Agreement.

12. Online Course Delivery:

Participant acknowledges and understands that the CE course will be delivered online through digital platforms designated by the Company or third party. The Company shall not be held responsible for any technical issues or interruptions in the online course delivery beyond its control.

13. Examination and Certification:

Participant acknowledges that successful completion of the CE course requires passing an examination administered at the end of the course. Certification will only be awarded to participants who achieve a passing grade, as determined by the Company’s evaluation criteria. The Company reserves the right to determine the passing grade and evaluation criteria.

14. Certification Validity and Use:

Participant acknowledges that the certification awarded upon successful completion of the course is valid only for a specific period, as determined by the Company. The certification is intended solely for the Participant’s personal and professional development and should not be used in a misleading or fraudulent manner. Certification could either be emailed or be accessed from the participant portal online and will stay on their portal for a specific amount of time.

15. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property:

Participant agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all course materials, presentations, and examination content provided by the Company. The Participant acknowledges that all intellectual property rights associated with the course materials, presentations, and examination content are owned by the Company.

16. Code of Conduct:

Participant agrees to adhere to a professional and respectful code of conduct during the course, including but not limited to interactions with presenters and fellow participants. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in the Participant’s removal from the course without a refund.

17. Data Privacy:

Participant consents to the collection, storage, and processing of personal information provided during registration and throughout the course. The Company will handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its Privacy Policy.

18. Data Privacy and Security:

Participant acknowledges and consents to the collection, storage, and processing of personal information provided during registration and throughout the course. The Company is committed to handling personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its Privacy Policy. However, the Company cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted over the internet and shall not be held liable for any data breaches or unauthorized access to personal information.

19. Amendment and Modification:

The Company reserves the right to amend or modify the course content, schedule, examination format, and any other related details at its discretion. Participants will be notified of any significant changes in a timely manner.

20. Limitation of Liability:

Participant acknowledges that the Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the course, including but not limited to any issues related to the examination, certification, course content, or data breaches.

21. Updates to Privacy Policy:

Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Company reserves the right to update its Privacy Policy from time to time as required by changes in laws, regulations, or company practices. Any updates to the Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting on the Company’s website. It is the Participant’s responsibility to review the Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

22. Participant’s Right to Request Privacy Policy:

Participant has the right to request a copy of the current Privacy Policy at any time. The Company will provide a copy upon request, either electronically or in print. Requests can be submitted to the Company’s designated contact for privacy-related inquiries.

23. Limitation of Liability for Privacy Policy Changes:

Participant acknowledges that changes to the Privacy Policy are within the Company’s discretion and that the Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from changes to the Privacy Policy.

24. Entire Agreement:

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Parties and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter herein.

By accepting this acknowledgment, the Participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the updated terms and conditions outlined in this Continuing Education Consent Form and Agreement.

25. Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your registration for a course, please inform us as soon as you realize you can’t attend. Refunds are possible for cancellations made before the program starts, but there’s a $50 administrative fee.
